The Sodre Youth Orchestra and the Artistic Training Schools come together to bring to life one of the great classics of musical comedy: West Side Story . A staging full of color, energy and sensitivity, set in the western part of New York City in the mid-1950s, where two youth gangs, the Jets (of European roots) and the Sharks (of Puerto Rican origin) are facing each other. . In this context, the love story between Tony (former member of the Jets) and María (sister of the leader of the Sharks) takes place.

With a libretto by Arthur Laurents, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and music by Leonard Bernstein, the famous composer gives a free interpretation of Romeo and Juliet , by W. Shakespeare, in memory of his wife, signing the score "To Felicia with love".
